The Freedom Trail, part of the Summit County Metroparks, is the focus of this run. I started at the Middlebury Trailhead and ran along the path through Tallmadge into the western edge of Akron. The trail is a well-maintained asphalt path that runs next to an abandoned rail bed. This was one of the first few outings I recorded for what would become a weekly vlog. While not a part of the towpath journey it is still a great trail to spend some time on.
